CARLYE CHAT. . . page 2

We have so many great memories with Carlye.  We have a place at our home called "THE SHED", that
is where we have all of our fun.  I remember the first time Carlye came out to the shed.  She couldn't
believe all the fun we had in "THE SHED".  Especially with the slot machine, and boy I tell ya, she's a
PRO at hitting the jackpot on the slot machine.  I can't tell ya how many times we filled that slot
machine back up with tokens.  There was also a time she came out to the shed, and she brought a big
towel, and on this towel the words on it read 'THE SHED' we couldn't believe our eyes when she
brought that to us.  That shows how much she cares about people in her life. We have that towel still
hanging in "THE SHED" above the door, so everyone that comes in, sees it.  We have some of the best
times of our lives spending it with Carlye.  Every time Carlye came to our home she would spill
something, being water, soda, anything in her hand was spilled in "THE SHED". We laughed so hard
when she did that.  It was GREAT!!!!!!  There is not a day that went by when I saw her, that she
didn't have a big SMILE on her face, even when she was sad, she still had a smile.  She brings great
joy to our lives.  We can't wait to have her back in our shed so we can enjoy her company and smile
again.  We love ya Carlita!!!!

Kim and Chris White (aka Christopher Robin) Story submitted 06/21/06.
A bunch of us Toledo guys went to bike week and entered a vintage motocross national at
Gatorback.  We  all stayed in our campers or bike trailers lined up in Carl’s backyard that weekend.
While at the race, I was battling it out for a second place finish overall and hung it out too far over
the finish line jump (known as the elevator).  While I won by a tire length, my competitor and I flew an
estimated 60 to 70 feet on 30 something old bikes.  Needless to say, we both hit hard flipping end
over end.  We both were lucky to get up and walk away.  (Two years later I found out Joe Keller
broke his back that fateful day.)  Well, later that evening, I was hurting bad.so bad I couldn't move.
I should have gone to the hospital.  That's when Carlye came home and saw my distress. She aided me
right away.  No self-medication would help me, but Carlye got me someTylenol and ice heat, then she
made me a soft bed in her spare room to try and make me feel comfortable for the duration of my
stay. Carlye's sweet voice and touch made me forget about my suffering.  She didn't know it, but I
told that story to many friends.  The appreciation I had for her that evening was irreplaceable.  I
wanted to marry her on the spot!  But I didn't want the shotgun from the ol' man!  I heard he was
fast, but in these parts, I scare him!  I have a few more crazy Carl stories, but he will have to
negotiate a fee with me if he doesn't want the beans to spill.  Just kiddin'. I love you all.....

The story you just read from Ricco, one of my motocross buddies from Toledo, about Carlye is so what
Carlye is all about. She is a very caring person, and would do anything for just about anybody. Jeff
Clark came to Florida a few years ago to race and get his award at the AHRMA banquet. He did not
have a ride back, so Carlye volunteered to go get the Badbrush President, Jeff Clark. Jeff told me
how nice Carlye was to him. This IS the essence of Caryle!  Please, anyone write anything you
remember. We love to read about Carlye. Thank you to everybody for everything!

Carlye is such an amazing young lady!   As you have already read, there isn’t a time that Carlye didn’t
have a smile on her face for everyone she came in contact with. You couldn’t help but feel that your day
was a little brighter and happier at that moment, after just one glance at Carlye.  She exudes
happiness.  Guess that is why she loved the happy face symbol so much.

I met Carlye at Goody’s Family Clothing, where she worked for my husband, John.  From the moment I
met her, I felt a kinship!  I loved going into Goody’s and just chatting with Carlye.  She always made me
laugh, and I would walk out of Goody’s with a big smile on MY face .  One New Year’s Day, Carlye
invited us out to her parent’s house for a New Year’s Motocross ride, food and fun.  I met her mom and
dad, Carol and Carl, and realized one of the reasons she is so special.  She has very loving, kind and full-
of-life parents, so it was inevitable that Carlye would be the same.  She would always try to make
everyone feel comfortable, welcome and happy.  I remember asking Carlye to show me how she rides.
She got on a friend’s Honda 80 and was zipping around the yard, long blonde hair blowing in the
wind………..and……..that big happy grin on her face.  Such a free happy spirit, I couldn’t help but smile
as I watched her.  Even with all that Carlye is going through now, the girl STILL has a smile on her
face.  What an unbelievable soul this girl has!!!!

Carlye is a real gift to the world and the people she comes in contact with. I can’t wait for the day
that Carlye and I can chat each others head’s off and ride on the New Year’s Day event again!!!!!! We
love you Carlye and are always there for you, sweetie!!!

Everyone in life has a role model, an icon, a person who can do no wrong in their eyes.  From the time I
was born Carlye has been mine.  Even though I am nine years younger than Carlye she never seemed to
care.  She always made time to tell me about the important things I would need to know like boys,
school, make-up, and clothes.  I remeber so many stories about Carlye's amazing personality.  I always
had so much fun with the girl!  She made everything an adventure, including the countless times she
babysat my brothers and I. Carlye, being the creative person she is, made up thousands of games to
keep us entertained. My favorite being "Boat," where she would simply lay down a blanket, bring along
some food, and away we go along a river filled with man-eating fish!  Or, what she called "Washing
Machine," where one of us would lay on the couch and she would throw every piece of bedding she could
find on top of us, then waited until we popped out yelling "WASHING MACHINE."

Carlye was the first one to introduce me to chick flicks, and I cherish the times the two of us would
dance around the living room singing off-key to Grease, and fall asleep watching Splash.  She was the
one to console me after experiencing Chuckie from Child's Play (thanks Uncle Carl), and the one who used
to play with me in the pool.  She was the one who would drive me to the mall with the windows down,
blarring the Titanic song, and the one who taught me to always smile.
There is no other word for Carlye except incredible.  She influenced so many lives in so many ways and I
know she will continue to do so.  She's a fighter and I can't wait until we drive around laughing about
the good-old times like we used to.
