THANK YOU, PETER, FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORTAND PASSING ON THE NEWS ABOUT THE CARLYE CAMPAIGN YOU ARE NO. 1 AND OUT FRONT IN OUR HEARTS!

Hi Guys,
Well, I was so horrible at the Chehalis Premier & Classic race that nobody took my picture
wearing my Carlye Smiley Face jersey but I was wearing it! Lol
I’ve also been wearing it at our Friday night organized TT practice at Sand Hill Ranch near here.
Too dark there….but I get many positive comments. A couple teenaged ladies REALLY liked it. I
told them the story…..and they said to say Hi and best wishes to Carlye!
Here is my latest attempt to get a picture of me racing in my jersey. Probably one of George’s
relatives took a photo of him at last weekends AHRMA Regional race at Klamath Falls Oregon . I’
m BEHIND George here…..you can JUST barely see me and the jersey. lol
Anyway, continued best wishes! I will continue my campaign to get a decent pic. We’re planning
to go down to Tulare in a month. I will keep wearing it in hopes the good vibes that it stirs up will
make their way back to Carlye. (thumbs up)
Take care!

DUX MOTO-CROSS LAMBERTVILLE, MICHIGAN
|
I recently went back to my home town, Toledo, Ohio, to spend a weekend celebrating my best
friend, Mark “Burny” Burnard, and My 50th birthday. On top of that, I got to go race dirtbikes
at the place where I got my first trophy in 1974, at the Dux Moto-X in Lambertville, Mich. Wow!
32yrs later, on the same kind of motorcycle, a1974 Honda 125 Elsinore, thanks to my friend
and long time sponser Pete Wening from C&B Cycle Salvage. Pete paid for my trip, donated,
and he had a real fast Elsie 125 for me to ride. I love that man! Thank you for makin the trip
possible Pete! I would also like to thank Mark Burnard for shackin me up and takin good care
of me . I love you too man! Thanks everyone for coming to our birthday party. It was very
nice to see everyone, and thanks for donating for Carlye. I hope you enjoy wearing your Smily
Face Shirts as much as we do seein you wear them. Thanks! Thank you, DUX, for welcoming
me back and lettin us have the party. I love DUX. The best part was that we raised $650.oo
that weekend for our family, and everybody askin about and prayin for Carlye! Do not stop
prayin, its working! Amen! Thanks for the birthday gifts. It was a weekend I’ll treasure
forever. And to my wife, Carol, for tellin me to go have fun while she stayed home to take care
of Carlye like no one else can! I love that woman and have for 30 plus years, and will always
love her. Thanks to everyone for everything, and yes, I love you too! Later, Carlye’s DAD and

Big Hearts at Mid-Ohio
With Vintage Days being the premier event on the AHRMA schedule, I traveled to Mid-Ohio in
anticipation of selling a few of our “Smiley-Face” jerseys to bolster our ongoing support of Carlye
in her road to recovery, and also as a bonus, take in some excellent vintage racing. I was not
prepared for what transpired during the weekend, and what developed over two days of racing
warmed my heart, and brought tears to my eyes, on more than one occasion.
Almost immediately after our tent was set-up and vintage practice was underway support came
pouring in. Racer after racer snatched up the jerseys and before long almost every session
included multiple “Smiley-Faces” racing around the Mid-Ohio course. And to top it off, many
family members were also sporting the brightly colored jerseys and t-shirts around the pits.
There is no way that I could mention all of the riders that dawned the “Smiley-Face” over the
course of the Vintage and Post-Vintage races, so I will just leave it to say thanks to everyone for
your generous support. Even Brad Lackey was observed sporting one in his post-vintage motos!
At the post-vintage trophy presentation I was deeply gratified to announce to the crowd
assembled that over two days we had raised $2,400.00 dollars for Carlye! I could no longer control
my emotions at this point and I broke down. What big hearts AHRMA members and motorcycle
enthusiast have!
None of this would be possible without the support of my wife, Maria, and Brad and Lorie Lackey.
I cannot thank you enough.
It is not often during today’s frantic pace that any of us get to be part of something as special as
the events that took place over the Vintage Days weekend, and I consider myself blessed to be
part of AHRMA, and to be a member of the motorcycling community.
Sincerely, Robert Leimenstoll 08/01/06

Hi Carlye, Carl and Carol,
Please know that our prayers are with you and we enjoy seeing the "doings" you,
Carl, and the guys in Vintage Views.
Having almost died in a car accident as a 15 year old teenager, I know the fear, pain
and hardship that you are going through. I was very, very fortunate in my recovery,
and, later, at the age of 35, after not riding a bike for 20 years, had the opportunity to
race AHRMA for 9 years. Back and neck injuries from my accident utlitmately
sidelined me in 2004, but I still love my AHRMA family, whether I've met you or not.
We are all pulling for you during this tough time. Know that total strangers can and
do pray for you all.
With Love in Christ,
